Whether you are a total beginner or a tour professional the La Manga Golf Club Academy will improve your game for sure. By incorporating V1 computerised video analysis, the Explanar swing training system and traditional teaching methods in a fun but professional atmosphere, our professional team of instructors will take you through all the steps you need to achieve a better game of golf.
On offer is a selection of different courses for adult golfers of all abilities, ranging from two to four days in duration, as well as private tuition and specialist La Manga golf academies for children, which are available during school holidays.
All the clubs, balls and equipment you need for your La Manga golf academy course are provided, so you need not worry about bringing your own set with you if you are a seasoned player, or investing in expensive equipment if you are trying golf for the first time. As part of the La Manga golf academy course, you will be given expert advice on choosing the right equipment for you. All golfing equipment used in the Academy is from Callaway.

Meet Thomas Johansson – Director @ The Golf Academy Centre
Whatever the technology, at the end of the day it is the quality and dedication of the coaching staff that will make the difference to your game. At La Manga Club, our PGA-qualified pros will share with you their first-hand knowledge, experience and advice and inspire you with their enthusiasm so that you will not only learn a lot, but also have a great time doing so.
Originally from Sweden, Thomas is the director of this academy and intends to take golf “to the next level”. Johansson started to teach golf professionaly in 1996 (although playing golf since 1981 as a junior) and has not stopped since then. He loves to teach and enjoy challenges and that is why he will pay special attention to kids and teenagers that bring themselves to the Training Centre.
One of his objectives is to form a junior golf team that carries La Manga Club’s name across the region.
Alongside Thomas is Anthony McCarthy and Anders Thelberg who both share the same philosophy and values as the rest of the team members.
Golf Academy Information
Total Golf Experience (10 hours)
Beginner to intermediate course that runs from Monday to Friday, 9am-11am. All aspects of the game are covered with the intention being to prepare each and every golfer to play and lower their scores on the golf course.
Family Lesson 90 Minutes
For 3-6 people in a playful setting. All parts of the game will be covered and maybe even a little match or two between members of the group for the competitive amongst us!
Private Lesson 30 Minutes
Whether it be a quick introduction, check-up or a more in detail look into your game, this 30 minutes training is a quick and often essential option for all level of players.
Private Lesson 60 Minutes
For all levels but especially for those looking for a more individualized session with their instructor. You will make use of our state of the art technology to gain a full understanding of your game and the improvements to be made.
Monthly Group Coaching
Learn golf in small groups, covering all aspects of the game. Video analysis and summaries included.
